Protected Health and Sensitive Data

Cognera Health does not use PHI/ePHI, clinical records, behavioral health information, mental health information, voice journaling content, assessment responses, treatment documentation, crisis-related information, or identifiable consumer health data for third-party advertising, targeted advertising, ad personalization, data broker disclosure, or sale.

Cognera Health limits the collection, use, disclosure, retention, and sharing of sensitive personal information consistent with applicable privacy laws, healthcare regulations, contractual obligations, security requirements, and legitimate business purposes.

Global Privacy Control (GPC)

Where required by applicable law, Cognera Health recognizes browser-based privacy preference signals, including Global Privacy Control (GPC), and will process applicable requests consistent with legal obligations, technical feasibility, identity context, healthcare requirements, and contractual obligations.

Because some Cognera Health services operate in authenticated healthcare or enterprise environments, additional identity verification or in-product privacy controls are required before a GPC or opt-out signal can be applied to a specific account or regulated data context.

Where Cognera Health acts as a Business Associate, certain privacy choices shall be routed to the applicable Covered Entity, healthcare provider, or enterprise customer.
